CNN/NCR Vatican Correspondent John Allen Interview: That's right! The "Go To Guy" for expert coverage of what is really going on in the Vatican! The journalist that is choice number one for both Al  Jezeera and CNN, sits down with us to give us the big picture.

A timely piece as the media ramps up for unprecedented world wide coverage of Pope Benedict's November trip to Turkey.

Deacon Richard Santello Interview: Dn. Dick Santello's ministry spans almost the entire history of the restored diaconate. This pioneer leader on the local, national and international levels of diaconal service, shares with us his insight into the development of the diaconate. Particularly, it's impact on the growing edge of the areas of Spirituality and Justice in the life of the Church. A short and thoughtful look at an emerging area in the life of the Church as the number of deacons now exceed the number of U.S. priests in religious orders.

See?!!!  We told you this was going to get better!  ; )

(A "tip of the hat" on this one goes out to "Our Man in Newport": Dn. Peter Gill.)

 Enjoy!

 Spirituality 101/Part 1

Tracing the evolution of the concept of Spirituality from the New Testament to Today.

With the assistance of Lenny the podcasting cat and Maggie, the Boson Terrier (scourge of trespassing deer!), Deacon Wannabe Wayne and Deacon Dennis begin to define this key term for future explorations

Cf. The New Dictionary of Catholic Spirituality, Michael Downey, ed., The Liturgical Press, Collegeville, MN, 1993.  (A great resource!  More like a one volume encyclopedia by contemporary specialists in the various sub specialties of Spirituality.)

Geek Spirituality: Wayne introduces SQPN.com's Pray Station Portable. Learn to pray the Liturgy of the Hours on your mp3 player or computer! (Millions of monks can't all be wrong!!!)

It's up, Mom!

Hi, Gang! Welcome to the very first podcast! Probably the worst in what will hopefully be a long line of improving efforts.

In this episode, we introduce what we hope this podcast will be. We make a bunch of mistakes and laugh a lot!

Enjoy it while you can because in the time honored tradion of podcasting, like all other episode 1 efforts, this one will be taken down as soon as possible.

Prayers would be good at this point.

Next cast will be the real deal. Booyah!
